The ITC conference held in Las Vegas for the past 7 years was held this year after about two years in a face-to-face format. The main conference in the insurtech world attracts thousands of participants from all over the world. The Israeli delegation to the conference, led by Kobi Bendelak, CEO of Insurtech Israel, included 60 participants and 18 startups, including binah.ai, Air Doctor, RAVIN.AI, Futura Genetics, Five Sigma, Insurights Inc., OpenLegacy, Kissterra, Lightico, FIXC, EasySend, DigitalOwl, Contguard, LEO, Toonimo, Urbanico and Joshu, who presented their experiences.
Bendelak notes that the conference is a great platform for startups to showcase their capabilities to insurance companies and investors from around the world. “This year more than ever we have seen a very large presence of insurance agents and brokers at the conference. Our American partners BrokerTech ventures held a special day for technologies for brokers”. Bendelak also noted at the opening of the conference that many thought that insurance agents would disappear as a result of technology and issues, but the reality shows the opposite – not only that the agents did not disappear, but they became a common factor in the development of the industry.
The Israeli success of the delegation also enabled the raising of prescription capital signed during the conference as well as an impressive connection to American insurance companies such as Allstate, nationwide, Cincinnati Travelers and more.
Bendelak concludes the conference with the fact that the Israeli presence will propel the industry in Israel significantly forward and cause more quality entrepreneurs as well as insurance professionals to enter the field.
