Binah.ai Expands to Continuous Health and Wellness Checks with PPG Sensor Support

Binah.ai, the artificial intelligence (AI) powered health and wellness check software, announced this week that it has expanded its health and wellness check capabilities to support continuous health checks using PPG sensors.

Binah.ai now offers continuous monitoring using a market-leading sensor with an ideal form factor, supporting biomarker monitoring at work, sleep and activity tracking, chronic disease management, and more.

Why extend support to PPG sensors?
Binah.ai currently offers a software-based solution that enables camera-based face spot checks for anyone, anytime, anywhere. However, certain use cases, such as monitoring at work, during sleep and activity, and chronic disease management require continuous monitoring.

To address this need, Binah.ai is extending its support to PPG sensors in addition to Binah.ai’s existing software-based solution that enables spot checks by face, using the camera of devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart home appliances, and kiosks.

How does it work?
Binah.ai’s technology, delivered as a Software Development Kit (SDK), connects to PPG sensors using Bluetooth to acquire continuous PPG signal. By processing the signal, Binah SDK performs biomarker checks.
Binah SDK performs the entire analysis on the device itself, ensuring full security and privacy without the need for internet access. The measurement results are delivered locally, allowing our customers to present them on an app or send them to the organization’s cloud.

Which biomarkers will be supported for continuous checks?
The supported biomarkers for continuous monitoring include Pulse Rate, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Stress Levels, Respiration Rate, Blood Pressure, and Binah Wellness Score and will be available in Q3 of 2023. Bloodless Blood Test support is expected to follow in Q4 of 2023.

“We are very excited to extend Binah.ai’s spot checks support to continuous biomarker checks using PPG sensors to the market, empowering end-users and organizations with extensive biomarker data. As the leader in video-based measurement solutions, we found the need to provide continuous monitoring, such as sleep monitoring, activity monitoring, and chronic condition monitoring. Today, we are making this possible. Our first choice was an extremely popular sensor with an ideal form factor, and additional sensors will be supported next year,” says David Maman, CEO and Co-Founder of Binah.ai. “I am confident our new extended support will address numerous gaps in biomarker checks in portable environments and deliver a truly unique solution that saves costs, effort, time, and ultimately, people’s lives,“ added Maman.

When will the extended support be available?
While already working with a few design partners and early adopters, Binah.ai will make this solution available for all its customers during Q3/2023.

Binah.ai is already in discussions with their first partner for continuous biomarker checks, NTT East (Japan), who will incorporate this capability into their Wearable Service.
